Hello, my name is Gary Riley. I was born in Hobbs, New Mexico. I went to college at NMSU in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I got a Master of Arts in Religious Education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. My Wife is Dawn Riley and she teaches school at Olney ISD. I have two children Donna and James. I came to Westlake Chapel on March 1, 2009. We are excited about being apart of God's work at Westlake Chapel.
As a pastor I try to speak the truth in love, I believe I need to speak out against the sins of the world, but in doing so I need to love the person because we are all sinners. I try to create an environment in which people are able to express their needs, problems, and even the sins in their lives without ridicule. I do my best to meet the needs of my congregation, by being there when they are sick, when there is a the death in the family, or whatever the need is. I am a strong believer in discipleship and ministering to the community, and letting them know God loves them. I believe we as Christians need to get out beyond our church walls and begin affecting our nation for God.
